What is carbon steel blind flange?
Blind flanges are used to seal the ends of piping systems. It is a round plate with no central fixation but with all the appropriate bolt holes. Available in a variety of sizes and materials, blind flanges are used to provide a reliable closure at the end of a pipe, valve or equipment nozzle. When sealed, the flange facilitates easy access to the line. Blind flanges are sometimes custom made or machined to accept pipes of reduced nominal size.

What is the function of blind flange?
Blind flanges can be used to repair pipes farther away. In fact, during pipeline construction, blind flanges may be installed in the final length of the pipeline. This allows the pipe to be extended or continued by adding to the final flange. Without blind flanges, it is nearly impossible to repair or perform continuous maintenance on the line unless the flow is closed at an earlier valve, which can affect miles of line.
The surface treatment of carbon steel blind flange:
Black painting, yellow painting, anti-rust oil, and epoxy are all surface treatments for flanges. Generally if the customers don’t have special request, anti-rust oil is the commonly used.
The package of Welding Neck Flanges:
Generally the packages of flanges include plywood case and pallet. If customer have special requests the customized packaging is also available.
