<p><strong>Welding neck flange ASTM A105 ASME B16.5</strong> is American standard carbon steel flange. It is widely used for the connection of steel pipes and pipe fittings. Welding neck flanges are available in a variety of sizes, pressures and sealing face.<br>Size: 1/2 inch to 24 inch for standard ASME B16.5, if above 24 inch the standard should be according to ASME B16.47 series A or series B.<br>Pressure: Class 150, Class 300, Class 600, Class 900, Class 1500 and Class 2500.<br>Sealing face: RF (raised face), RTJ (ring joint face), TG (tongue and groove face) etc.</p>

<h2>About the sealing surface “RF”:</h2>



<p>“RF” is the short name of raised face a kind of sealing face of flanges. The sealing surface of the flange is flat, and the gasket contact area is large. After pretightening, the gasket is easy to extend or move to both sides, and the sealing property is poor, which is only suitable for low-pressure occasions. Except for RF there are other types of sealing faces such as FM(female and male), RJ (ring joint) and TG(tongue and groove) which have better performance in sealing property can be used for high pressure occasions.</p>
